At Bradley Concrete, we love recognizing the people who are committed to excellence and help us lead the way in concrete construction. Our Employee Spotlight series highlights individuals whose experience, dedication, and leadership deliver outstanding results for our clients, partners, and project teams.
In our inaugural spotlight, we’re featuring Caden “CJ” Blevins, Senior Superintendent. He’s been in the construction field for over two decades and enjoys mentoring up and coming carpenters. Learn how he rose up the ranks, his passion for the industry, and how he utilizes his experience to help clients build projects they’re proud of.

I grew up on the Central Coast of California and was fortunate enough to be invited to a meeting at the Local 1800 union hall in Arroyo Grande. After speaking with the Business Agent about projects in the area, I started working at places such as Cal Poly and Diablo Canyon. I really enjoyed the hands-on aspect of construction; seeing work I performed built out into complete projects was very exciting for me.
Not at first, no. I always enjoyed the General Foreman spot because I was physically involved in projects and builds. I was asked to move into a Superintendent position 24 years ago to teach up-and-coming carpenters about forming systems, managing their projects, and so on. Being a part of that developmental process is very rewarding. Seeing people put in the work to learn new things and develop themselves has really grown on me.
When I was approached about joining Bradley, I was sold on the idea of a smaller operation developing into a larger operation over time. I worked at a different company that was in the same spot, and it became a large-scale company over the course of 20 years. It did take a lot of work and hours to make that happen, but seeing operations branch out into all sorts of avenues is something that really excited me. Accepting this position was an easy choice because when I look back on the work I did at that job, it was one of the best times of my career.
Helping people turn their dreams into reality. I really like helping someone build something they thought they’d never be able to do. There’s nothing better than seeing their satisfaction and knowing I helped played a role in their success.
I love live music and going to concerts. My wife and I both enjoy it, and we go to see at least one concert a week during the summer. We try and see as many 80’s bands as possible. Quality time for us is best spent with good friends, food, and music.
